Brush Chipping Policy

Household chipping is completed on a schedule set by Public Works or through notification of the Public Works Department.

Chipping is provided by and at the discretion of the Public Works Department and was developed as a courtesy for residents to assist with yard clean-up, especially after storms.

How to set out brush

  • Place brush curbside with butt ends out
  • Only brush 3” in diameter or smaller will be chipped; larger brush must go to the Township Transfer Station
  • Piles no larger than 4’ wide × 4’ high × 8’ long
  • Maximum time allotted per household is twenty minutes

Not accepted

  • Logs over 6” in diameter × 3’ long, or tree stumps (not chipped or accepted at the Transfer Station)
  • Brush produced by a privately contracted service
  • Brush generated by lot clearing, including clearing for building additions or accessories
