Our new playground project is underway! It’s sad to see the PineCone Zone removed, but the existing plaques and fencing with donor names will be incorporated in the new facility. The playground will be closed starting September 17th so Public Works can begin demolition to make room for the new equipment. Site preparation will take place during the month of October, footings will be installed on October 31st, and our Community Build Day for the installation of Phase I equipment will take place Saturday, November 2nd from 8 am to 2 pm. We have all the volunteers we need! Thank you to the Carpenter’s Union, Ed Hagaman and all of you who volunteered to help out. Please remember that children under 16 cannot participate, so please leave your younger children at home. Contact Dawn Stollenwerk at (609) 561-7070 extension 111 or firstname.lastname@example.org for further information. If you would like to donate to our project, you can send a check, made out to “Township of Mullica Trust” to: Township of Mullica, PO Box 317, Elwood, NJ 08217, Attn: Dawn Stollenwerk.
The fence existing fence will remain, and the donor plaques, pickets and children’s drawings will all be saved and incorporated into the new playground.
