Update on Township Projects

Concession Stand and Restroom Facilities at Recreation Site: The Township received $75,000 in funding from the Atlantic County Open Space Trust to complete phase I in the construction of a new concession stand and public restroom facilities at the Recreation Complex.  The first phase included all the necessary permitting, site plan preparation and installation of the well and septic system.  The actual building will be constructed as the funding becomes available.

Reading Avenue Stormwater Management Improvements The Township has received funding from the Community Development Block Grant for drainage improvements on Reading Avenue.  These funds can only be used for improvements in the areas of the Township considered low or moderate income.  We have received all the necessary permits and approvals, and are in the process of completing the bid specifications.   We anticipate awarding the contract in the early Spring of 2012.
