Update on Township Projects

CDBG Drainage Project:  TheTownship received funding through the Atlantic County Community Development Block Grant Program to rebuild, repair and clean various drain inlets and culverts throughout the Township.  This particular grant requires that any project directly benefits low to moderate income residents.  The areas for this project included Anderson Avenue,  Burdick Avenue, Anna Drive, Adams Circle.

The work on this project is substantially completed.  Only a  drainage pipe to install on Arch Lane, between the two storm drain inlets remains to be completed.

Richards Avenue  The Township has received funding from the NJDOT for the reconstruction of Richards Avenue.  Surveying has been completed and Pinelands Commission approval obtained.  We are currently preparing bid documents, and completing a study for the DOT for approval to reduce the speed limit on the road.  We should be ready to bid the project by the end of summer.

Darmstadt Avenue:  The Township has received funding from the NJDOT for the reconstruction of Darmstadt Avenue.  Surveying and soil testing work is complete, and we are currently finalizing all the project details.   Next step will to be prepare bid documents and obtain Pinelands approval for the drainage portion of the project.
