Update on Township Projects

Jackson Road:  The Township has received $118,000 in funding from the NJDOT for the reconstruction of Jackson Road for the 2009 Budget year.  The surveying work has been completed, and we are applying for all applicable approvals.

Concession Stand and Restroom Facilities at Recreation Site: The Township has received $75,000 in funding from the Atlantic County Open Space Trust to begin phase I in the construction of a new concession stand and public restroom facilities at the Recreation Complex.  The first phase of the plan will include all the necessary permitting, site plan preparation and installation of the well and septic system.  We are currently advertising for bids for the site preparation and installation of the septic system. 

Fifth Avenue:  The Township has received $150,000 from the NJDOT for the reconstruction of Fifth Avenue between Moss Mill Road and Indian Cabin Road.  The Township will be appropriating this funding in its CY 2010 Budget.  Once the budget is adopted, the preliminary phase (surveying, permitting, specification preparation will begin.

Columbia Road Tire Removal  The Township has received funding from Atlantic County to remove the tires from our recently  acquired property on Columbia Road.  We are currently in the process of preparing the bid specifications, and expect to solicit bids as soon as the 2010 Municipal Budget is adopted.
