Update on Township Projects
Jackson Road: The Township has received $118,000 in funding from the NJDOT for the reconstruction of Jackson Road for the 2009 Budget year. Township Committee awarded the contract to Arawak Paving at the May 25, 2010 township meeting. The drainage repair part of the project has been completed; paving should be completed by the end of August.
Concession Stand and Restroom Facilities at Recreation Site: The Township has received $75,000 in funding from the Atlantic County Open Space Trust to begin phase I in the construction of a new concession stand and public restroom facilities at the Recreation Complex. The first phase of the plan will include all the necessary permitting, site plan preparation and installation of the well and septic system. Township Committee awarded the bid to RME Inc & Sons at the June 22nd meeting. Construction is currently underway. Please use caution when visiting the Rec Site.
Fifth Avenue: The Township has received $150,000 from the NJDOT for the reconstruction of Fifth Avenue between Moss Mill Road and Indian Cabin Road. Bid specifications have been prepared, and we are currently beginning the bidding process.
Columbia Road Tire Removal The Township has received funding from Atlantic County to remove the tires from our recently acquired property on Columbia Road. We are currently soliciting bids for the project.
